Laminated Hardwood

Overview

At LTD, we have been successfully supplying laminated hardwoods for a number of years. Our laminated hardwoods are produced to Komo standard and use D4 class glue lines, making our iLam products the first choice for the manufacturing of doors, windows and other joinery components that require the allure of hardwoods combined with an increased stability and lower waste factors.

Traditionally only available in DR Meranti, Direct Timber can now additionally offer laminated options in the warm tones of FSC Eucalyptus and the reddish-brown of minimum Third Party Verified legal Sapele. Each variety of laminated hardwood has been specifically chosen by our experts to deliver the very best performance while also providing premium aesthetics.

At LTD, we know the importance of sourcing sustainable products and place this at the forefront of everything we do. Both our American and African hardwoods are sourced responsibly and approved by organisations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, who help us to ensure our suppliers are working sustainably.

iLam sections can be produced to the client’s size and length requirements from 0.9m and are measured in 0.3m increments. We offer solid outer faces (known as DKD) in lengths up to 3.6m and finger jointed faces (known as KKK) in lengths up to 6.0m. Other sizes and species are also available to forward order.
